Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
- 3 tablespoons raw Queens Hive wildflower honey
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley and lemon wedges for serving
Instructions
Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, minced garlic, and soy sauce. Set aside.
Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat until butter is melted and foamy.
Add salmon fillets skin-side up. Sear for 4–5 minutes without moving until a golden crust forms.
Flip the fillets and pour the honey garlic glaze over them. Cook for another 4–5 minutes, spooning the glaze over the salmon as it thickens.
The salmon is done when it flakes easily with a fork and the glaze is sticky and caramelized.
Serve immediately with lemon wedges and a sprinkle of fresh parsley.
Notes
Raw honey caramelizes differently than processed honey — you'll get a deeper, more complex flavor in the glaze. Don't walk away from the pan once the glaze goes in; it can burn quickly over high heat.
